Responsible for production, personnel management, regulatory compliance, inventory management,transportation and delivery ofproduct to market place, capital expenditures, continuous improvement, recordkeeping and benchmarking.Key responsibilities Coordinate with Corporate for production schedule, inventory planning and reporting. Monitor Federal, State and local laws and regulations and ensure plant compliance (in coordination with Corporate). Maintain permits, reports and other legal documents related to the plant legal compliance. Supervise all plant capital expenditures. Oversee all spending and reporting to Corporate. Develop and maintain plant operating budget, product standard cost and other plant accounting as required. Coordinate with Corporate HR department to manage all plant personnel issues. In direct supervision to the plant superintendent (plus vacation relief): Monitor all plant activities on fermentation, filtration, transfer and storage operations and schedule activities to fit within plant staffing guidelines and product requirements. Monitor and oversee all operations to insure compliance With Plant Quality Assurance Programs Support Plant Zero Defects Quality Program. Maintain record keeping in accordance with current quality assurance requirements. Insure customer product, service necessities, and shipping forms requirements are met. Monitor inventory levels of all critical raw materials and place orders in a timely manner to insure smooth operation and storage utilization. Proper supervision and preparation of Plant inventory and closing records required. Perform necessary accounting entries to record production and inventory on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Schedule and reconcile daily pumping operations and records to maximize plant operating efficiency and avoid delays due to traffic in shared pipelines and processing equipment. Ensure all pumping and production records are properly entered to allow product tracking and recall procedures. Perform lab analysis and equipment calibration, as required, to accomplish plant operating objectives. Oversight, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment necessary. Supervise coordination of truck loading and scheduling activities with all carriers and insure the necessary specialty products are available when required for loading. Schedule, coordinate and oversee normal maintenance functions required for the plant. Strong mechanical skills, background and the ability to trouble shoot, program, and maintain electronic controls required for job functions and planning and executing plant capital projects. Familiarity with electrical processes and circuitry including installation, operation and maintenance is needed. Critical Thinking Ability to critically and logically determine the proper path for development of convoluted decision trees. Problem Solving Ability to find a solution, based on root causes and taking into account interconnected plant and regulatory requirements and to deal proactively with work related problems. Detail Oriented Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task. Education Bachelor'sdegree in a technical field (Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistryetc.) or business and administration field is required. Experience 7-10 years experience in industrial manufacturing is required. Experience including two to four years of fermentation (wine, beer, ethanol etc.) would be considered as a plus. SKILLS & ABILITIES Computer Skills Proficient in Word, Excel, some experience in access, PowerPoint, and other software programs a plus. SAP experience a plus. Strong mathematical skills are required for formula creation, use and spreadsheet development are needed. Complex spreadsheets and nested conditionals will be required.Kerry is an equal opportunity employer.
