Advantis Medical is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in montebello, California.Job Description & Requirements

  *Unit ICU
  *# beds All private rooms, 22 beds total
  *Certs BLS, ACLS required and NIH required
  *Ratios 1:2
  *EMR Meditech
  *Charge Nurse Charge Nurse at all times, they take cases when absolutely necessary
  *Nurse Aides No CNAs and yes a monitor tech
  *Weekend Requirement Every other weekend, and sat/sun for both day and night shift
  *Holidays Only as needed
  *Scrub Color No color requirement only clean and professional
  *Tele GE tele boxes
  *Vents Do you have vents on your unit? Bipap, Cpap, or High Flow? - yes to all three
  *Hospitalist or Intensivist in house Are they in-house 24/7 or on call after hours? Intensivist are on the unit Monday to Friday 8am to 5p
  *IV Team Does your hospital utilize an IV team? Not currently due to staff shortage
  *RT 24/7 Is RT 24/7? yes
  *Pharmacy 24/7 Is the pharmacy 24/7? If not are the nurses responsible for mixing their own meds, etc?- pharmacy is 24/7
  *Shifts 12's? 10's? 8's? Start times? Are they day/night rotating? Is it self-scheduling? Do you allow block scheduling? 3, 12 hr shifts per week, 0700 or 1900 start time we do allow block scheduling when possible with weekends also ****Floating What are the floating expectations on your unit? - ICU floats to ER and tele when needed. They are expected to take patients within the floating units. Cases will be similar to current level of experience.--
  *Floor specific orientation How many shifts of orientation do the travelers get on the unit (in the department) with a preceptor? 1 - 12 hour shift
  *Common diagnosis / Types of patients Please share examples of the types of patients that are commonly on your unit. - varies Additional Notes Please indicate any experience that travelers absolutely MUST have experience with or other miscellaneous unit/department details or requirements.
