Description: Heart and Vascular RN needed for a telemetry unit.
Start date is as soon as possible. This position requires 3
twelve-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. First-timers are accepted
if the RN has at least 2 years of acute care experience not related
to traveling. Floating to med-surg and telemetry departments may be
required based on needs. Weekend shifts are mandatory, with a
minimum of 4 shifts over a 4-week cycle, and additional shifts may
be needed. On-call requirements are expected; you may be placed on
call or canceled depending on patient census. The documentation
system used is Epic. Preferred experience includes working in
community hospitals, LTAC, and Trauma Level I or II settings.
Strong skills in telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and management of
dysrhythmias are essential. Additional competencies include
post-operative care and managing various cardiac and respiratory
conditions. This role requires care for adults and geriatric
patients with a daily census of approximately 22. The unit
specializes in cardiac monitoring care and common procedures
related to cardiovascular conditions. Patient ratios are 1:4 for
telemetry patients and 1:5 for med-surg patients. Interdisciplinary
support is provided by physical therapy, respiratory services, and
other medical teams as needed. Candidates must be prepared to float
within the hospital based on patient census. References from within
the last two years are required for submission. This position does
not allow for previous permanent staff to be considered.
