Company operates in the Professional Coffee Machine division.
The Director of Quality and Reliability will bring focus to ensure
the highest standards of quality, are achieved in compliance with
all Groupe SEB and ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards. Responsible
for the development, and sustaining of quality initiatives to
improve the Quality, to enable a competitive position of the
product portfolio.
Pay range: 140,000 to 175,000 per year - DOE
Essential Functions
End-to-end accountability for the integrated management system
Assures product compliance to specifications and expected
performance
Ensures and consolidates that the growth of the technical
"know-how" within the working group is shared and constantly
increasing
Delivering on-time solutions and associated deliverables
Manages and develops a cohesive work team, provides solutions for
conflicts within the team
Ensures supplier compliance is documented and reported on to
achieve the highest quality standards
Ensures corrective actions are implemented for any and all quality
failures in support of the integrated quality management system
Key Responsibilities
Ensures and consolidates that the growth of the technical
"know-how" within the working group is shared and constantly
increasing
Collaborates on development projects and ensures compliance
standards are achieved
Is responsible for product compliance using sampling measurements
of finished goods and supplier components.
Measures and reports the performance of quality standards for
suppliers procured worldwide
Encourages creativity in Quality Team
Quality promotion : supervision and implementation of quality
training (QM system, methods, techniques, motivation)
Application or coordination and training of error-preventing QM
methods (QFD, FMEA, DOA, 5-WHY, Poka Yoke, Ishikawa, DMAIC,
reliability planning, 8D Systematics, Statistical Design of
Experiments, Statistics, etc. )
Validate the development quality of all new products to achieve the
release for series introduction
Quality inspection/assurance of incoming goods, production and
final inspection
Participation of risk analyses for product safety and product
liability
Development and support of test equipment and test systems
Assurance of delivery quality and processes via process audits and
action tracking
Organization of the incoming goods inspection according to
effective methods via CAQ system,
Prevention through supplier qualification, skip lot, AQL
systematics
Systematic complaint processing of quality problems in the
field
Quality steering; Audits and collection of quality-relevant data
for complaint processing in the field, for the initiation,
monitoring and enforcement of corrective actions.
Experience and Education
Qualifications: University degree in Quality Management, Quality
Assurance or Quality Control
A Master's degree and or any other further qualification related to
Quality is appreciated
A minimum of 4 years' experience in Quality managerial roles with
direct reports
Certifications in leading an Integrated Management System for ISO
9001, 14001 and 45001. Prior experience in implementing ISO is a
plus.
Required Skills
Knowledge: A strong knowledge of Quality management processes and
organization in B2B / durable goods companies is needed
Extensive knowledge of small appliance equipment assembly technical
applications and manufacturing implication, methods and
requirements are desired
Languages: Fluency in written and verbal English is a must, Spanish
and German are pluses

Communications: Communicates clearly and candidly. Contributing to

A passion for coffee strongly preferred
Technical Skills & Qualification
Complete understanding of calibration tools and measurement
systems
Ability to read technical drawings and specification blueprints
Ability to drive make or buy decisions based on own manufacturing
capabilities and judgement to avoid customer impacts and risks of
product failure
Familiar with international regulatory standard systems Reach &
RoHs, able to determine the relevant electrical safety, EMC, food
safety and other regulatory standards
QA domain: Quality Management System, Roles and Responsibility,
tools, processes; reliability management.
Knowledge or risks and legal aspects of commercial and consumer
food grade products
Mindset and Interpersonal Skills
Strong leadership and ownership are needed.
Capability in managing people and complexity in a multinational
environment is needed.
Capability to promote team-working and collaboration among the
different functions.
Analytical rigor and solid process management and way of working is
needed.
Drive for excellence is expected.
