Position Information:
This is an Open Competitive recruitment to create an eligibility
list for current and future vacancies. Incumbents in this
classification are responsible for patrolling school buildings,
grounds, parking areas and areas adjacent to school property to
maintain order and security. Applicants must submit proof of all
required documents to be considered for the recruitment

GENERAL PURPOSE
Under general supervision, monitors and patrols school buildings,
grounds, parking areas, and areas adjacent to school property to
maintain order and security; facilitates communication between
students and staff to enhance understanding and promote a safe
learning environment; provides interventions; teaches and
reinforces behavior expectations; conducts wellness and academic
checks for all students, including but not limited to English
Learners, Foster, and low income; and performs related duties as
assigned.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
With direction from a school administrator, incumbents in the
classification monitor and patrol school buildings, grounds, and
adjacent areas to maintain order and safety and to prevent illegal
acts. This classification is distinguished from Yard Supervision
Aide in that a Campus Security Officer supervises student conduct
to prevent vandalism, theft, or other illegal activities, while a
Yard Supervision Aide maintains order outside of the classroom,
under the supervision of school administrators, teachers, or
support staff. Duties

Evaluation of submitted job applications: Qualifying (NO WEIGHT) -
Applicants must submit a full application, including proof of
Education, Driver License, proof of insurability, and certificate
of completion for specialized training course (in accordance with
SB 1626 and SB 390). Failure to attach any of the required
documents will result in disqualification from the recruitment
process.
After the evaluation of minimum qualifications, examination parts
for this recruitment may include, but are not limited to the
following: scored supplemental questionnaire, written exam,
performance exam, oral appraisal interview, physical ability test,
oral presentation, project assignment, etc.
The Personnel Commission reserves the right to change, alter,
cancel, add or modify examination parts, as well as weights and
dates.
The District offers eligible employees and their dependents medical
insurance coverage with benefits as determined by the MUSD Health
and Welfare Benefit Committee.
Vision care, Life insurance and EASE (Employee Assistance Services
for Education) benefits are provided at no cost to all bargaining
unit employees whose regular assignment is less than 4 hours.
Employees eligible for health and welfare benefits shall be allowed
to supplement the District's health and welfare contribution to
provide full coverage for all health and welfare benefits.
