Clamp Lift Operator

Logistics company providing warehousing, distribution, and transportation services to many large companies throughout the U.S. is actively seeking Clamp Lift Drivers/Material Handlers being responsible for safely loading and unloading trucks and railcars, performing inventory control, and customer correspondence. Direct Hire openings (following 90-day probation).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate a lift truck to pick orders, load and unload trucks and railcars
  
• Perform inventory control activities to ensure accurate product records
  
• Must adhere to safety and employee policies
  
• Serve customers through providing accurate correspondence on inbound and outbound orders
  
• Load/unload and break down freight onto wood pallets, at a pace that meets or exceeds productivity goals and standards
  
• Sort and organize freight by PO and SKU number
  
• Break down freight from containers or trailers
  
• Sorting, repacking and labeling, pallet repair
  
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
  Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
  
  • Experience loading and unloading trucks using lift truck equipment
    
  • Experience operating stand-up order picking
    
  • Reliable transportation to report to scheduled shift and travel between facilities as needed
    
  • Demonstrated accuracy in counting and completing paperwork
    
  • Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled
    
  • Ability to pull orders correctly
    
  • Positive, clear, and professional communication skills
    
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
    Education & Experience
    
    • Minimum 2 years of previous lift truck experience
      
    • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a warehouse environment
