Job Description Job Description Position Summary JK BioScience, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental Laboratory Chemist/ Manager to oversee daily laboratory operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead technical and support staff. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in environmental testing and a commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Also, who can perform heavy metals testing using PerkinElmer ICP-MS NexION 1000 and ICP-OES 8000 instruments. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day laboratory operations, workflow, and staffing Ensure compliance with ELAP, EPA, ISO/IEC 17025 , and other applicable regulatory requirements Oversee quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) programs and corrective actions someone who can perform heavy metals testing using PerkinElmer ICP-MS NexION 1000 and ICP-OES 8000 instruments . Review and approve analytical data, reports, and documentation Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory technicians and analysts Coordinate method development, validation, and implementation Maintain laboratory safety programs and ensure proper chemical handling and waste disposal Manage laboratory equipment, maintenance schedules, and calibrations Collaborate with management on operational planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and internal teams as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field (master’s preferred) Minimum 5 years of experience in an environmental testing laboratory Prior laboratory management or supervisory experience required Company Description JK BioScience, Inc. assists domestic and international businesses in adhering to U.S. FDA and EPA regulations.
